Tamar & Zeev

The two people who run the circle.

Tamar Yablonski

Tamar Yablonski

Tamar has danced for as long as she can remember. She grew up in Minnesota, where Israeli dancing was part of life from the start, and she carried it with her when she moved to New Jersey. Once she had settled, she began building something of her own here — a session, then a group, then regular classes, and in time the Sunday and Thursday evenings that run today. Teaching a new dance to a room and watching it land is still her favorite part of the week.

Zeev Israel

Zeev Israel

Zeev started dancing in Israel and never stopped. He brought the dances with him to the States and has kept up with them ever since — the classics everyone knows, and the new ones that come out each year. He and Tamar teach them to the group together, and keeping that thread running to the Israeli and Jewish communities here is a good part of why they keep the evenings going.

Dancing with us

You do not need a partner and you do not need experience. Evenings mix circle and line dances with couple dances, opening with the more approachable ones and building from there, and there is always someone glad to walk a newcomer through a dance.

Location is shared with registered dancers — reserve a session or contact us.
